Wood evokes emotions, combines tradition with modern quality of life, conveys comfort and stands for value and sustainability. That's why the wood industry needs a strong Austrian platform that specifically focuses on wood as a material, craft and trade. In this connection wood is the link that forms the framework of TIMBA+, but also allows the diversity of materials in combination, for example, when using plastic, glass and metal in the furniture manufacturing process. In addition to the tool and the capital good increased attention should be paid to materials and subcontracting products. The demands on woodworkers and fabricators are increasing. As regards content the focus of TIMBA+ is on the needs of the trade visitors. Questions on topics such as acquisitions, efficiency increase, specialization, consumer behaviour, cooperation, laws, standards, lack of apprenticeship become more important. At this point, TIMBA+ deliberately continues offering solutions and the right contacts. In collaboration with the CASA, the trade fair for interior decoration and interior design, TIMBA+ offers a topic range from furniture manufacturing to interior design, from interior work to constructive wood construction. Craft, timber construction and the resellers summarize the primary target groups.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 4 days of the fair, from 06. October to 09. October 2015, about 250 exhibitors from 10 countries and 13000 visitors on the TIMBA+ in Salzburg.
The TIMBA+ will take place on 4 days from Wednesday, 24. January to Saturday, 27. January 2018 in Salzburg.
